Bachelor's Degree from accredited university OR 4 years of relevant experience5 years Retail Banking Operations OR Risk Compliance experience5 years Small Business or Business Banking Operations OR Risk ComplianceJob DescriptionAs the National Small Business Banking Operations and Risk Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the division's operational and governance framework while effectively managing risk and compliance processes for the group, reporting to the EVP, National Director of Small Business BankingThis role will lead the efforts to create new policies and procedures related to the newly formed Small Business Banking group and will also lead efforts to centralize and integrate the various policies and procedures that are related to Small Business banking products and services that reside in other areas of the bankThis leader will serve as a single point of contact for various governance, operations, compliance, and regulatory support initiatives representing Small Business Banking and will ensure the Small Business Banking organization is fully connected to the various operational and risk areas of the bankThis role will serve as a key stakeholder within the risk and operations area of the bank, partnering with the Retail Bank Market Operations Director, the Retail Bank Risk Assessment Director, and the various Business Unit Compliance Leaders.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesGovernance Oversight:
Develop, implement, and maintain robust governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards relating specifically to Small Business Banking, and ensuring an inventory of these policies and procedures are centralized and integrated within the Small Business Banking line of business.Monitor and evaluate existing governance structures that pertain to Small Business Banking, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.Ensure adherence to risk management protocols and procedures, mitigating potential risks associated with Small Business Banking operations.Operations Management:
Partner with the Small Business Banking Regional Leadership and Retail Banking Market Operations Leadership to support the overall operations of the Small Business Banking department and serve as a single point of contact for all operational strategic initiatives related to Small Business Banking.Streamline operational workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and optimize resource utilization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and technological solutions aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.Risk and Compliance:
Partner with the Retail Bank Business Unit Compliance and Retail Bank Risk Assessment teams to assess, test, and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.Partner with Small Business Banking Regional Leadership teams and Retail Bank BusinessUnit Compliance teams to monitor and ensure adherence to sales practices framework.Coordinate with compliance officers and legal counsel to address regulatory issues and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.Serve as single point of contact when developing and delivering training programs to educate staff on compliance standards and operational procedures.Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support on governance and operational matters related to Small Business Banking.Foster strong relationships with external partners, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory developments.Reporting and Analysis:
Partner with the Retail Bank Business Unit Compliance and Retail Bank Business Insights and Reporting teams to support and review regular applicable reporting on key performance metrics, operational trends, and compliance issues.Support efforts to conduct data analysis and trend forecasting to identify areas of improvement and inform strategic decision-making processes.Work Hours8:
