Java Software Architect


JOB DESCRIPTION
o With direction from the Chief Architect / Enterprise Architect Manager, align technical architecture with business strategy.
o Create, promote and apply architectural standards, patterns and models.
o Proven prototyping track record in assessment of new technology integration or replacement in existing application systems.
o Mentor and coach peers and global team members to facilitate the adoption of architectural standards.
o Logically analyze business challenges and opportunities.
o Conceive viable, innovative solutions and present them to both technical and business stake holders.
o Create project deliverables, including, but not limited to:
architectural diagrams, project proposals, requirements specification documents, project plans, software application prototypes, executive presentations and reviews.
o Lead small and medium size teams, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
o A BS in Computer Science or a non-Computer Science BS degree with relevant work experience / skills.
o Self-motivated, assertive, goal oriented and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with other team members, on a global basis.
o 5-9 years of hands-on programming preferably in Java.
o Knowledge of UNIX - Script language is highly preferable.
o Knowledge of Hadoop, HBase, Hive or similar BigData components is highly preferable.
o Knowledge of real-time, batch, ESB (TIBCO) and data warehouse applications.
o Knowledge of deploying applications to Windows servers.
o Knowledge of IBM mainframes, z/OS, and virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare) is a plus.
o Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
